George Carlin once said: "We shouldn't teach kids to read, we should teach them to question what they read and why they are reading what they are reading".
I'm at a point in my life where I'm begining to question everything...Litterally everything. My mind doesn't stop analysing as soon as it wakes up.
I'm living in a world which questions everything, questions like?
- Is there such a thing as a balance between optimism and cynicism?
- If there is a god then why must there be heroic feats, why must there be stories?
- If life is just a ride then why is it that i feel like I'm floating on nothing?
- Can you use cynicism in an optimistic point of view?
- Why is an objective institution like the news always so negative?
- Why is that our minds respond to fear so quickly but yet take so long to respond to love?
- If there is such a thing as true love then how come the bad guys all get one first?
-If I've helped so many people over the years, then why is that I question my contribution to this world?
It's a very long list of questions undoubtedly.
But heres the problem: I FEEL OLD.
- I drink tea everyday
- I read renaissance and political litriture everyday
and many more other useless things.
So.. if you have any ideas please enlightment me with your wise words (and if your not wise..well then just tell me about this dillema)
